heng Guogu (Guangdong 1970) is a talented and versatile conceptual artist. His works deal with the media, consumerism, the rapid changes that are taking place in China, and they are ironic commentaries on the digital world. His work includes paintings, photography, large installations, scrolls and mixed media. He graduated from the print making department of the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts. He is widely respected among his generation of artists, and had his works shown at Art Basel. He lives and works in his hometown, Yangjiang, Guangdong. |
