 ing Kewen (1965 Qinghai) is a talented painter who uses vibrant colors and natural settings to express his wonder at the people and places around him. A graduate of the Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts, Jing seems mostly concerned with neo-realistic portraits of soldiers, friends, pastoral settings. While Jing grew up during the Cultural Revolution and graduated into the 85 New Wave Art movement, he seems content to portray a softer, gentler side of humanity and China. He lives and works in Beijing. |
